Friday Member Feature ~ Week 4

This weeks featured member is Peggy from TheVintageButtonJar.

1- Tell us alittle about yourself.
My name is Peggy and I live in St Louis. I have 3 daughters and 4 grandkids. I have always loved vintage and have always had vintage items surrounding me in my home.

2- What do you sell?
At the moment my shop contains vintage linens, ephemera and a mix of other vintage items. I also sell at an antique shop in Kimmswick MO, Antiques Galore, that has more linens, sewing related items like buttons and pincushions, vintage kitchen items, vintage decorative items like figurines and teapots, and lots more vintage stuff I find at estate sales and that I have collected over the years.

3- Favorite decade for vintage?
I don't have just one decade. I guess I lean towards the 1930s to the 1950s.

4- Favorite vintage item you own?
Without a doubt my quilts.

5- Favorite item you are currently selling? And why?
Probably this pair of vintage pillow cases.

I just love the vintage cottage feel of them.

6- Best advice for newbis.
I would just say keep listing and relisting and don't forget to Twitter! That is probably the best advice that I was ever given and it is true the more you work at it the more views you will get. I can't promise sales but if you twitter you will definetly get views.

7- Favorite web sites or blogs.
Why the Vintage Market Team blog of course!

I also love to follow the other members of the Vintage Market teams blogs. They are all listed on the blog so go and check them out.

8- Favorite movies or TV?
I love the old movie channel. My favorite movies are from the late 1930s to the 1950s.
I also love all of the tv shows from the 1950s and early 1960s.

9- Favorite music?
The oldies of course! I like stuff form the 1950s and the 1960s.

10- Favorite books? Authors?
Right now I am really into the Elm Creek Quilters series by Jennifer Chiaverini. I also like alot f nonfiction stuff mostly history related and historic crafts and folkart books.

11- Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Still kicking I hope. Probably doing pretty much just what I'm doing now.

12- What else should we know about you and/or your business?
I love to papercut and to sew by hand, mostly embroidery and quilting.
