Tuesday Tip ~ Week 21

Cleaning Vintage Lace
If you find vintage lace that is dusty and dingy but has no apparent stains here is a great way to clean it.
Soak in cold water to remove any dust and light dirt. Rinse well and if needed repeat the soak and rinse until water is clear.
If you should have rust or other stains try rubbing the stain with a mixture of white vinegar and hot water.

  1. Thanks for the tip. I had some nice, old handworked handkerchiefs that were dingy and thought that a small amount of bleach wouldn't hurt. I was so, so wrong. I ruined all of them. I will not make that mistake again.
