Tuesday Tip ~ Week 6

VMTEAM TUESDAY TIP

HOW TO CLEAN VINTAGE LUGGAGE
(this tip is for plastic-exterior luggage only do not use on leather-exterior luggage)

To clean the exterior use a wet magic eraser. With light scrubbing it will remove any scuffs, stains and other blemishes. Dry with a clean rag.

If your piece is a cosmetic case with an interior mirror clean the mirror with glass cleaner, the window cleaner also works well for shining up the hardware.

Smelly interior? Freshen up the scent of the interior by placing a small dish containing a couple of tablespoons of baking soda mixed with a few drops of lavender essential oil into the piece of luggage. Close the lid and leave it shut for a day or two. When you open it that musty old smell will be gone.

Tip Extra: a car air-freshener placed in a closed piece of luggage for a day or two will also eliminate any odors.
