Back to that little issue of manufacturing. As we all know, but sometimes need to be more conscious of, most everything we consume (including clothing, jewelry, housewares and home decor, to name but a few) is in some way manufactured. Manufacturing causes carbon emissions which contributes to global warming. Global warming has been causing a rather big problem for our little friends down under. You know, under the sea.

Among other issues it has been causing corals to "bleach" and die.

So if we want to keep our coral colorful, the question becomes, to consume or re-consume?

We say re-consume!

DON'T SOIL OUR DIRT...Brought to You by the Color Brown

Third installment in our Earth Day series.

" Soil is also known as earth: it is the substance from which our planet takes its name." ~ Wikipedia

Why is soil brown?

"Many soils are brown in color because they contain large amounts of carbon. In particular, carbon-containing polymers called humic compounds absorb most visible wavelengths of light and give soils a dark brown appearance. Often the majority of soil carbon is present as humic compounds, which means they have a large impact on soil chemistry and fertility." ~
