Sometimes the old books we buy can smell musty.

Here's a tip for taking that musty smell away:

Sprinkle baking soda on the pages and allow to air

dry.

Tip extra: If there's mildew on the paper you can rub the baking soda into the spots and lay out to bleach in the sun.

Don't you hate it when you find a great buy but the price is written on the item with permanent marker?

Here's the solution:

Put a small amount of hand sanitizer on what is written in permanent marker...let sit until you begin to see the ink dissolve.

Wipe the sanitizer off and reapply if necessary.

Don't apply sanitizer to any marking on the piece just on the permanent marker!

Vmteam members and their vintage wares are popping up all over the etsysphere and etsy’s front page. A recent ETSY STORQUE,
Get the Look: Home Décor Edition, focused on retro renovation, a subject near and dear to many vmteam hearts. Inspired by a 1940s home in Nashville, it featured a vintage pretty fruit metal canister from the vmteam's Pretty Farm Primitives.


Also featured was this yellow and white Catherine Holm Lotus Pot from team member Haus Proud.
